Putney Town Football Club celebrate new season sponsorship with Specsavers

KICKING OFF the 2026/2027 season, players were delighted to welcome their new sponsors at Specsavers Putney to the club.
Established in 2004, Putney Town Football Club are a grassroots amateur club affiliated to the Southern Sunday Football League, which has over 100 teams across the London region.
Fielding one adult team, the Club’s current home ground is based at the Barn Elms Sports Trust in Barnes, and is rated as one of the best grass pitches in South West London. Playing in a striking red and black jersey, the players will kick off the new season in their Specsavers branded kit.

Ahead of the new season, the players have been invited to book in for sight and hearing tests as part of an overall wellbeing and match fit check.
Customers of the store have the option to book an OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) 3D scan, which is advanced diagnostic, eye-scanning equipment that helps detect serious eye conditions, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, up to four years earlier than traditional methods. Available for an additional cost of £5.
